Tailoring in Phuket

For men: if you ever go to Phuket, please get yourself a custom made tuxedo/suit back. Tailoring seems very popular in Phuket. You can see the tailoring business is growing like mushroom in the town, tailor shops are like everywhere! If you want good quality suit, make sure you don't just walk into any tailor shop and get yourself measured by them. Choose a good one. We went to Peach Tailor on our first day. We got to know Peach Tailor from Bodega staff. Their service is very good, after bodega staff helped us to call Peach Tailor, Mr Jaroon(the tailor)'s wife came to Bodega and picked us up then headed to their shop. It's actually Mr and Mrs Jaroon's shop which the husband does tailoring and alterations while the wife doing dry cleaning.

Their family portrait. Eldest son's name is Peach and second son is Mark. Peach Tailor is named upon the eldest son. Mr and Mrs Jaroon are very friendly and you can ask them anything, from tailoring to interesting places in phuket. They wouldn't mind.

Their shop. several big dry cleaning machines inside

as you can see from the card below. we supply the finest garments tailored from high quality fabric of Italian and british origin. yes, the fabric that they are using are all very good quality! and another yes! your satisfaction is guaranteed. if cutting is not right, they'll alter until it's perfect for you :)

Mr Jaroon explaining and showing the fabric from Italy.

ta-da. eng siang with his new suit and Mr Jaroon on right. satisfaction is guaranteed. haha

For women: evening gowns and dresses are available for custom made too! :D

They have website too! here you go.

P/S: if you want to go for this, it's better to go on your first day of your trip. or 3 - 4 days before you leave.

Choose the right tailor ;)

Similan Islands

Finally... the Similan Islands post is up! hehe. Similan Islands is a group of nine islands in Andaman Sea, southern Thailand. Do you know that Similan is one of the most famous diving sites in Thailand, and noted as one of the top ten dive destinations in the world according to the National Geographic Society. (from my best from, wikipedia =p) that is why there are so many divers on the same boat with us! how i wish i could join them :( so divers, jot down and make it your next stop! :)

Whewwww~ It's a giant size swimming pool! Look at the crystal clear water! I just can't stop yelling when i see this! just too amazing, no? By the way, this is Koh Similan, the largest island of the nine islands i have mentioned just now. The people are swimming so happily.

We wanted to get there too! trust me, it's not easy as the rock is very steep slippery. Thanks to one malaysian tourist who helped us and he injured his own leg.

you may now start whoa-ing!

and after strolling along the white soft sandy beach, we climbed up to the view point to take some breathtaking shots. The weather is crazily hot and we were barefoot because we left our slippers at the boat. how smart. our feet were burning and we were keep jumping after walked on this staircase.

the pathway.

From the view point. SPECTACULAR!

AMAZZZINNGG! in Similan islands, you don't need to find a nice angle to shoot because every angle is too amazing, you can just simply press on your shutter and you will have nice picture saved in your memory card =)

the crowds here are okay. it is much lesser than the crowds in Phi Phi, well that's a good thing for me. :) The people look so tiny here, so cute.

❤ so blue! so clear!

:)

and next, snorkelling!

after snorkelling, we had our lunch at the national park. The lunch is included in the package.

our tour guide is the third one from the left. he is nice.

Rice, Vege, spaghetti, tom yum, fruits.

After we had our lunch, the couple went for a swim and I just laying down on beach relaxing and taking some amazing pictures. The crazy weather apparently very good for taking pictures. haha. ❤ ❤ ❤

Sky is so blue!

sunbathing

Time to aboard our boat and head to the last stop! which is also snorkelling.

hiak hiak! xD

Gear Up

We bought the Similan Island Package at the price of 2500 baht right after we landed at Phuket. quite a good deal! It might sound expensive at first but it's all worth it! The airport taxi drivers or minibus drivers will drop you at some local travel agencies to buy the tour packages, from island tours to city tours. It is okay if you don't want to buy any package, they won't scold you no worries. It's good for us because we were on free & easy trip. If you want a cheaper package maybe you can go for Phi Phi Island. Most of the tourists choose Phi Phi but I would say that I'm very satisfy with Similan Island and 2500 baht is totally worth it!

It's very far from Patong beach. As you can see from the map, it took us 1 and half hour to reach the Thap Lamu Pier by minibus, and another 1 and the half hour to reach Similan Island by speedboat. Most of the speed boats are equipped with four engines with 200hp. far enough? but good things always need to take some time to get/reach. haha

Waiting lounge

We asked a hongkie to help us for this photo but ended up the staff thought the hongkie is our friend and asked him to join us for picture too. haha. he was kinda blur that time.

hah! the hongkie

The cute staff demonstrating to us

ready to go!

walking towards to the pier

after 1 and the half hour, finally can see some small islands. R-e-a-c-h-i-n-g!

Hello Similan Island! love the water so much!

super crystal clear! just like a big swimming pool!
more photos of Similan Island coming up! hehehe! lovely island ❤

Raya House, Phuket

Back from a road trip to the east peninsular. I'm tanned. very. because I didn't apply any sunblock. urgh. regret now. but i had fun, that makes me feel better :p gonna blog about the Raya House in Phuket.

"If you ever come to Phuket, write this name down: Raya House", we read this from a blog and we told each other it is a must to go! to try out the food there and we went on our first day! =D

The building looks very old, but it is very clean and well kept. It is just like those very old double-storey houses we can find in Malaysia but its interior is nice =)

The interior. The environment is very quiet, people don't really speak very loud there or mayb we went at odd hours so not many tables are occupied. haha.

Upstairs.

We went around and take pictures before the food is served. Heh! x)

She is so fair! *green*

So, what we ordered? The first one was tom yum kung. Tom Yum seems to be a dish that you cannot be missed when you're in Thailand.

Then it is Chicken with cashew nuts. seems like the thai restaurants that we went will have this dish or anything with cashew nuts in their menus. If you have time, you may drop by the Cashew Nut Factory in Phuket, I went 5 years ago and tried their cashew nut drinks. it was good :)

Papaya Salad with fried squids.

Thai ice tea. it taste like our "teh-ais" but with a lot a lot of sugar. very sweet.

Coca-cola! It's a must-have drinks for us because the weather there is very hot and you need to keep walking and exploring. That makes the coca-cola taste nicer there. haha.
